Our Equipment

Our equipment at Lone Oak Farms LLLP, represents a commitment to excellence and quality. We take pride in having a diverse range of agricultural equipment, including the latest in modern technology, four peanut pickers with six row plows, a large fleet of trucks to transport to the Port of Savannah for our international clients, and substantial warehouse facilities. Having a high quality fleet enables Lone Oak Farms to be efficient with our production and time which in turn we are able to pass down to our customers with competitive pricing.
Production
The production process for peanut farmers in Georgia begins with selecting high-quality seeds suited for the region's climate. We prepare the soil by tilling and adding any necessary nutrients. Once planted, peanuts require careful irrigation and pest management throughout the growing season. After approximately 180 days, the peanuts are harvested, dried, and prepared for market, at Lone Oak Farms we take great pride in showcasing our dedication and hard work.
Soil
Sandy loamy soil is considered one of the most ideal types of soil for crop production in Georgia. Its excellent drainage and nutrient retention capabilities create a perfect environment for healthy crop growth. This soil type allows for easy root penetration and promotes strong plant development, making it a favorite in our area. By utilizing sandy loamy soil, we as growers can enhance our yields and ensure robust harvests.
Irrigation Systems
Our crops use naturally sourced water from our own local wells. This is a highly effective way to provide crops with high-quality hydration. The Fertilizers we use contains basic ingredients, that provides vital nutrients that help mature the crops. Fumigation of our facilities and transport crates are conducted on a regular basis.
